Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. Starting with paper notebooks.

I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. Well, t's good to see you're feeling better. Metaphorically speaking, I can't see you..... Never mind.

Well, I think premium membership is a good idea. Hell, I'd probably get it if I could. As for detail, I wholly disagree. You do enough detail in watercolours. Too much pressure won't get you anywhere.
You know, you're probably older than me, but I'm probably more pressured than you. TT-TT

thanks. Yeah I think I'll get the membership sometime. I was looking at some older watercolors I was doing and.. they were terrible! they were from september though, but with time I noticed that I started to automatically develop detail! I think I have developed more patience!

1) I don't think that they were that bad.
2) Even if they are from September, I bet they're 10 times better than my watercolours...Which I don't do.

And thirdly) I. DON'T. KNOW!!!! It's like everywhere I turn, there's someone there. Even worse, it's always a teacher!!! Or something of the sort!

You mean they don't seem to convey any emotion? Are you gonna go over them and redo em? Or you gonna post em as they are?

Teacher's just suck. School sucks!
And, it's not so much what they did, it's what they didn't do. Well...both.
Some of em give me too much attention and say, "Hey! pick my course!" Or "Hey, I showed your work to one of the other teachers and they said they'd put it in the school newsletter. Isn't that great!"
And if they don't say THAT, then you end up sitting in the corner doing nothing. Worse yet, they yell at, saying your not doing your work when you've finished. AND their breathes stink when they come right up tp you.

And now the only good teacher has left. To become an actress, no less!

Are you in a specialized school? That seems like that sucks a lot. Schools aren't like that here in canada! (ontario at least) I hope things get better!

You dont need to learn fuckin nothing.. Pressuring yourself to do detail takes the soul out of a piece. It's like a pretty model on the outside but she's got fake tits and a fake ass and a fake personality... I think sketches are way way better cuz you just let yourself have fun doing it. Prolly the whole reason I can't watercolor on demand anymore is cuz I forget to let mistakes happen and just go with the flow =S
